New Lefay Resorts spa will be one of the largest in its region

Lefay Resorts, which operates Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda in Italy, is to open the doors to its second property on August 1.

Located within the Dolomites mountain range in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti will house a 5,000sq m spa – one of the largest in the Alpine region.

The spa concept will mirror that of the Lake Garda resort, combining Chinese medicine with Western techniques for signature energy treatments to rebalance and rejuvenate the body.

Lefay has devised treatment programmes or “energy circuits” based on the type of energy each guest needs to rebalance. Examples include the green dragon path, involving a medium-temperature sauna and dandelion and bitter herbal tea for impulsive and nervous people.

There will also be a focus on tension-relieving massages for guests staying at the resort to ski or bike.

Facilities at the mountain-view spa include an alpine salt-water lake, salt grotto, mud therapy, nine saunas and steam baths and fitness area.

The resort is certified as a ClimaHotel by South Tyrol energy agency CasaClima and will be supplied by renewable energy sources.
