Beau Monde day spa to open in Northumberland this summer

A new day spa Beau Monde is set to open in Lucker, Northumberland, this summer.

The facility, owned by leisure and tourist group Stablewood, will include treatment rooms, a hairdressing salon, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, as well as a spacious reception area, small gym and games room.

The site also has a conference room in the hope it could be used by businesses who would book Beau Monde for the day.

The treatment menu will include body scrubs, Mediterranean massages, pedicures, tanning and more and the business will offer half-day and full-day spa packages, as well as hair and wedding make-up packages.

The Stablewood Group is run by the Johnson family, headed up by mum Tina, husband Kevin and sons Johny, Daniel and Martin.

Kevin Johnson said: “We are very proud of the fact that we already employ 20 people from the area, we have clearly invested in the area and everything is done through local contractors.”
