New spa director appointed at Espa Life at Corinthia
Laura Vallati has been named spa director of leading London spa Espa Life at Corinthia in London.
Vallati was previously general manager of Espa at Baha Mar in the Bahamas and will now head up the team at Espa Life at Corinthia, the flagship spa in the Espa collection.
Before taking on the role at Espa at Baha Mar in 2014, Vallati was general manager of Espa at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore – a position she held for three years.
Espa praised the “creative flair and energetic personality” of Vallati, who has more than 20 years’ management experience in the spa and leisure industries.
Sue Harmsworth, founder and chief executive of Espa, said: “Having been a part of the Espa family for many years, Laura has a clear vision of the wellness philosophy that underpins everything we do. I am confident that Espa Life will continue to flourish under her direction.”
Vallati’s CV includes spa director roles for a number of top global hospitality brands, including Four Seasons and Fairmont Raffles Hotels.
Vallati said of her appointment: “Moving to Espa Life at Corinthia feels like the perfect next step for me. I look forward to building ESPA Life’s global reputation as the pioneer of a new generation of spas.”
During her time in the industry, Vallati has also been responsible for heading six spa projects at the pre-opening stage, in locations including Singapore, Monaco and the Caribbean.
