Organic spa The Bard's Mistress opens in Stratford-upon-Avon
Organic natural shop and spa, The Bard’s Mistress, has opened this week (September 2) in Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Founded by Esther Cooney, and in partnership with organic skincare expert and business partner, Graeme Hume, The Bard’s Mistress will offer natural and organic treatments, advice in organic skincare, as well as a retail offer.
The spa and shop has a front retail area which stocks natural and organic skin care, make-up, perfumes, supplements, make-up brushes and beauty bathroom accessories. The treatment room offers Primavera face and body treatments as well as other treatments including waxing and spray tanning.
Cooney’s career in the beauty industry spans 20 years, firstly as a beauty therapist before training to teach beauty therapy for a natural brand. This led her to be an ambassador for organic products and incited the dream of opening up her own destination spa shop.
Cooney said: “For many years now I’ve been training beauty therapists about skincare and wider health benefits of using natural and organic products. Now that I’m opening up my own spa and shop I’ll be able to offer the very best of these products and treatments to people in my home town.”
The spa stocks brands including Primavera skincare, Florascent natural perfume, Lavera cosmetics and Benecos make-Up. Nutritional products will also be available from Viridian Nutrition.
The Bard’s Mistress is open seven days a week and some evenings.
