We caught up with Salon System make-up artist Laura Dexter to talk about the dos and don’ts of creating perfect brows.
In our exclusive video, Dexter reveals her top tips for applying make-up on full, fine and semi-permanent brows (i.e. those that have had microblading), as well as the common mistakes make-up artists tend to make and how you can avoid them.
Some of her tips include:
- Working with full brows
“It’s mostly about grooming as they already have the volume in fuller brows,” says Dexter. “They don’t need too much product to create depth, it’s about snipping and tweezing.”
- Working with fine brows
“You should map out your ideal brow first togive yourself a good idea of where you’re going to go next,” explains Dexter. “It’s important to use pencils and powders because you can really create a fuller and more defined shape.”
- Working with semi-permanent brows
“The tones might be slightly different to your normal brow. So, the common mistake to avoid is using one tone – you need to mix the tones so it’ll look more natural,” adds Dexter.
