Professional Beauty North opens at Manchester Central

Professional Beauty North 2017 opened at the Manchester Central exhibition venue today.

The trade show, the leading such event in the north of England, takes places today and tomorrow, Monday October 23.

The show covers industry sectors ranging from skincare, spa, machines equipment and supplies, to nails, lashes and brows, and tanning and makeup, among other segments.

Brands at the show will include Caci, Crystal Clear, Elemis, Heaven, Nail Harmony, Simon Jersey, St Tropez, Oakdale and Phorest, and many others.

The show comprises an extensive education programme, including a range of seminars, held on one of the show live stages, the Professional Beauty stage.

The seminar programme selection includes the Business Skills, Advanced Treatments and Skin is Alive programmes; the later focusing on the latest skin trends and concerns.

This year also sees the two-day Salon and Spa Owners’ Convention join the Professional Beauty North education offering, for the first time.

Among the topics covered at the convention will be the importance of branding, motivating your salon team and social media, as well as many other issues.

The competition line-up at the show includes the Warpaint North Make-up Championships, with categories such as Runway, Bodypainting, Real Beauty and Film & TV. 

The show also sees the return of the popular North Nail Championship, comprising categories such as Spa Manicure, Salon Nails and Mixed Media Nail Art, as well as One Stroke Boxed and Photographic Nail Art.

Professional Beauty North also includes two shows-within-the-show: hair show HJ Live North, and Aesthetic Medicine North.
