Ritz-Carlton Resort to open on St Kitts in 2021

The Ritz-Carlton hotel group is set to open a property on the Caribbean island of St Kitts in 2021.

The 125-room resort will be a sea-facing development on the southeast of the island, and will also comprise 25 Ritz-Carlton branded villas and residences.

Hotel facilities will include a Ritz-Carlton Spa, several swimming pools, indoor and outdoor restaurants, and meeting and events space.

The resort is expected to create around 300 new jobs on the island during the construction phase, and a further 250 once its operational.

The Ritz-Carlton resort, which will be operated in a management agreement with The Liamuiga Corporation, will form one part of a larger development on the island.

Lindsay Grant, minister of tourism, international trade, industry and commerce, said: “We look forward to welcoming the Ritz-Carlton to our shores.

"This highly regarded brand will complement our existing hotel product and add to the mix of accommodation we offer as we continue to target the discerning, experiential traveller.
