Rockliffe Hall kicks off wellness breaks for 2013

County Durham-based hotel and spa Rockliffe Hall is upping its focus on wellness this year with a range of breaks centred on helping people improve their wellbeing and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

The Wellness Factor, a host of treatments, spa days and breaks, which start this month, is designed to help people lead a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

Focusing more on exercise, the Wellness Factor Fitness Break is a three-day break featuring Nordic walking, sports’ circuits, fitness analysis, healthy eating workshops and skin analysis and treatments. The first fitness break starts on January 21.

Launching on March 10, the Vitality Wellness Break, a two-day spa break to detoxify the body and recharge the mind features workshops on healthy eating, relaxation, yoga and meditation. Customers can also use the spa, will be served vitality meals and spend time with naturopath and the founder of Nature Cure, Atul Shah.

Rockliffe Hall will continue to run Chill-out Spa Sundays, its monthly spa days comprising of meditation and yoga workshops, a 45-minute relaxation treatment and a two-course lunch.

Liz Holmes, director of Rockliffe Hall spa, said the breaks have been created to improve radiance, health and lifestyle.

“There has been a huge shift in demand in the last year as people place a lot more importance on their wellbeing and lifestyles, not just beauty and relaxation.”

She added: “The Wellness Factor isn’t about bootcamp-style fitness or diets - it’s about finding the best healthy lifestyle that works for you. And this covers everything from stress management and eating to boost vitality to skincare and new ways to keep fit.”
