Rockliffe Hall unveils spa garden

Rockliffe Hall has officially launched the newest addition to it spa services, the spa garden. Local VIP’s were invited to celebrate the opening of the resort’s new outdoor spa facilities, located within the 365-acre estate.

The spa garden features two outdoor hot pools, including one with an infinity edge hydrotherapy pool with massage features and a separate warm Jacuzzi, under-floor heated decking, lounging areas with heated loungers, a glass-fronted sauna cabin, a fire pit and a water feature among the landscaped gardens with views across Rockliffe Hall’s grounds. Work on the £1 million development started in January and was managed by Darlington contractors Wharton Construction. Sparc studio came up with the original plans, and Rockliffe Hall also consulted architects Xsite.

Rockliffe Hall’s therapists worked with spa and wellness brand Neom to create a new spa garden treatment menu which includes the brand’s new themed treatments: energise, happiness, de-stress and sleep. These combine meditation, shiatsu, Thai massage and trigger-point and reflexology techniques.

The resort already has a 50,000sqft indoor spa with features including a thermal bathing suite with a tepidarium, caldarium, roman saunas and tropicarium, a hydropool, ice fountain, sound wave therapy beds and signature treatments from Murad, Comfort Zone, Daniel Sandler and Orly.

Spa manager Victoria Lees commented: “The spa garden was something that we always aspired to have to constantly offer our guests something new. This has been in the planning and development for five years so it’s incredibly exciting to now see it all coming together. Clients have always fed back to us that the only thing that we were missing was outdoor hot tubs. As a five star resort, we always strive to exceed expectations and want to stay ahead of the competition and this will certainly set us apart.”
