Save Face celebrates first accreditation

A Buckinghamshire clinic has become the first in the UK to be officially accredited as "safe" and "qualified to carry out non-surgical cosmetic treatments" by Save Face. 

Save Face launched in June to give qualified non-invasive cosmetic treatment practitioners a way to distinguish themselves from the industry’s cowboys and to protect patients by offering a register of experienced practitioners.

Appearance Based Medicine on Dean Street in Marlow, was the first in the UK to complete the process and pass the inspections necessary to appear on the Save Face register. More clinics have since followed suit. 

Clare McLoughlin RGN INP, who heads up Appearance Based Medicine said, “For years, the industry has desperately needed some form of regulation and guidance. For the first time, every single practitioner will be visited and interviewed by an assessor and their premises will be inspected to ensure both are fit for purpose before they are accredited to the Save Face register.”
