Scottish MUA opens studio in converted aeroplane

A Scottish make-up artist has opened a salon in an 80ft 1950s aeroplane.

Runway Studios was developed by Amber Scott from Carluke, Lanarkshire, who was given the plane by her parents after their plans to turn it into a B&B didn’t come to fruition.

Instead, Scott converted the Air Atlantique G-Conv plane into a fully equipped make-up studio in her back garden. The salon has four make-up stations and two hair-styling chairs.

Scott spent £30,000 renovating and kitting out the plane. She offers bridal, evening and fashion make-up application as well as male make-up, special FX, body painting and more.
