Shiseido Day Spa opens at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan
The first Shiseido Day Spa in Italy has opened at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan. The spa spans 1,000sq m and features four treatment rooms.
In keeping with the Japanese roots of the brand, the treatment rooms have been named the Sakura (cherry blossom), Tea Rose, Camellia (the symbol of the Shiseido brand) and Hamanasu (the imperial seal of princess Masako of Japan) rooms.
Facilities at the spa, located on the sixth and seventh floor of the hotel, include a relaxation area, a swimming pool, a salt steam room, a sauna and a fitness centre.
The spa also features a private spa suite, with its own treatment area, sauna, whirlpool and ice fountain, as well as mint and fruit scented showers.
The spa concept is based on a fusion between east and west, with a menu comprising 30 different treatments for face and body.
The Timeless Ritual signature treatment, created specifically for the spa, includes a treatment for the face, a treatment for the body, makeup application for women and a scalp massage for men.
