Six Senses Spa Courchevel to open in France in December

Six Senses has announced the opening a new spa next month, in the heart of French ski resort Courchevel.

The 700sq m spa is located in Six Senses Residences Courchevel, which opened in December 2015 and comprises 53 penthouses and apartments.

The spa will feature five treatment rooms, two double and three single, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor hot tub and a vitality area with a bio sauna, steam room, Kneipp path and rain shower.

There will also be a spa lounge, a manicure and pedicure station, a juice bar and a retail space, as well a gym with studio space for classes including yoga and meditation.

In keeping with the Six Senses wellness concept, the spa will host a series of visiting practitioners every year, specialising in a range of different topics.

The spa will also offer memberships. Treatments will include options to warm aching muscles, boost circulation, restore tired joints and relax or energise the body and have been developed with skiers in mind.

The spa will work with skincare brand The Organic Pharmacy and nailcare brand Kure Bazaar.

It has been designed in accordance with biophilic principles, a concept centred around the belief that there is an instinctive connection between human beings, nature and other living forms.

In keeping with the spa’s location, the design draws inspiration from the shape of snow and largely uses clean, natural colours throughout.

The opening of the spa signifies the completion of the last element of Six Senses Residences Courchevel, Six Senses’ first residential project in Europe.
