The Edge Nails acquired by Grafton International
Professional nail company The Edge Nail and Beauty has been acquired by UK distributor Grafton International, which owns The Eyelash Emporium and distributes nail brands Orly and ibd.
The Edge managing director Alistair Wood, who founded the brand in the late 1990s, has made the decision to retire and sell the company, following many years of supplying professional nail systems and products.
Commenting on his initial plans for the brand following the acquisition, Grafton International managing director Jon Hardwick said, “We intend to develop The Edge using the same depth of knowledge of professional treatments and training that we’ve used to transform and innovate the Eyelash Emporium since we purchased that five years ago.
"Our Edge customers can look forward to some great product innovation we’re already working on.
"The Edge also adds to our growing portfolio of owned-brands which is a strategic objective for Graftons.”
The Edge has more than 1,500 different product lines spanning acrylics, gels, tools and natural nail care, and also offers training courses for new and established nail technicians.
Founder Alistair Wood said, “We are truly proud of the brand we have created and our great product innovation over the last three decades. I would like to thank our dedictaed staff, customers and everyone in the trade who we have been involved with over the years.”
Grafton International is a brand owner and distributor. Its professional brands include nail brands Orly, IBD and Nailtiques, skincare line Pharmagel, lash brand The Eyelash Emporium and wax brands Gigi and Clean + Easy.
