The five biggest brow trends to jump on right now

Makeup artists and beauty therapists have stepped up their game this year when it comes to statement brows.

From Kendall Jenner’s Met Gala bleached brows to the resurgence of 90s thin brows, HD Brows analysed Pinterest searches to reveal the biggest eyebrow trends to get on board with this year.

 

Bleached Brows

Ever since Kendall Jenner debuted her bleached brows at the Met Gala earlier this month, Pinterest searches for bleached brows are up a massive 105%. Whilst this trend really makes a statement on the red carpet, for a more wearable day-to-day look Jamie Long, lead brow stylist at HD Brows, suggests bleaching brows to lift them just a few of shades lighter, as he says “This is widely used in the brow world to help match a client’s brows to their hair colour or alternatively give a softer look to their brows.”.

 

90s thin brows

Whether you love them or hate them, there’s no denying that thin 90s style brows are making a comeback. Spotted on the likes of Bella Hadid, Alexa Demie and Lily James in her role as Pamela Anderson in Disney+'s Pam & Tommy, Pinterest searches for this 90s trend have gone up by 94% since the start of the year.

Brow bling

If, like everyone, you watched HBO’s Euphoria this year, this eyebrow trend will be no surprise. Eyebrow looks blinged up with rhinestones and glitter are everywhere right now, particularly on TikTok with the #rhinestoneeyebrows earning over 138k views on the app.  Since season two of Euphoria aired earlier this year, ‘makeup with gems’ is up 2,767% on Pinterest, with fans looking to recreate the shows iconic looks.

Rhinestones and diamanté details are here to stay, with MUA Hannah Cunningham predicted them as a huge trend for SS22.

 

Eyebrow tattoos

Eyebrow tattoos, or microblading, offers the perfect solution for those looking for the salon brow look every day without the hassle of daily brow filling. Countless celebs have jumped on this trend, from Adele, to Rihanna and Angelina Jolie, causing Pinterest searches for eyebrow tattoos to rise by 87% since the end of 2021.

Fluffy brows

Whilst thin brows are seemingly ‘in’, it’s safe to say that the fluffy thick brow trend, often created through brow lamination, isn’t going anywhere just yet. Sported by Dua Lipa, Zendaya and Gigi Hadid, searches for #browlamination on TikTok has earnt over 947 million views.
