The Garage appoints spa manager

The Garage spa in Teesdale, Yorkshire, has named Elaine Riley as its spa manger.

With more than 18 years spa industry experience, Riley has previously served as treatment manager at country house hotel Headlam Hall in Darlington and head therapist with the Steiner cruise ships.

Due to open at the end of November, The Garage spa is located in an old stopping station that dates back more than 100 years and derives its name from the building that houses it.

Speaking about her new role, Riley, who will be at the helm of a team of six therapists at The Garage, said: “I am excited to be involved from concept in this new spa. It’s going to be a busy period but I’m looking forward to bringing everything together for our opening later in November, in time for the Christmas period.”

Working with a number of well-known suppliers, brands on The Garage spa shelves will include Lava Shells, CACI, Jessica and The Natural Spa Factory.
