The gentle touch

Darphin’s latest facial ritual tackles the first signs of ageing hands on, without compromising on relaxation.

The latest treatment offering from French skincare stalwart Darphin aims to fight the first signs of ageing in the 30-something market. Founded on the brand’s rich history in anti-ageing spa rituals, it uses an innovative massage style to complement the specialist skincare, helping to revitalise and awaken the skin.

I tried the deep pampering ritual at the hideaway Institute de Darphin in Paris, at the hands of the brand’s head of training Sandrine Correia.

The facial uses Darphin’s latest collection, the Ideal Resource line, including a smoothing cream and a wrinkle minimising serum. Both contain plant-based ingredients such as centella asiatica, knotweed and white hibiscus, designed to remove imperfections and work deeply into the skin. However, it’s the massage that really makes this treatment special.
