UK Spa Association & ukactive announce membership alliance

The UK Spa Association (UKSA) and ukactive have announced a new partnership, offering a new joint membership for business providing both spa and fitness services.
The new membership option, Active Spa, comes as a result of the growing number of spas and health centres embracing a more holistic approach to wellness.
Active Spa operators will receive specialist support from both membership bodies. This includes health and safety advice, along with counsel on business growth and strategy.
Also included will be discounts on sector networking events, as well as public awareness campaigning and more. This reflects the two bodies' expertise in improving reputation and brand awareness, whilst growing their respective sectors.
Steven Scales, client services director at ukactive, said: “The rise of spa and wellness services, along with the growth of the boutique sector, has accelerated across the globe in recent years.
“The ability to share best practice and expertise between us will further enhance the support we can provide to our members and ensure we make progress in our mission to get more people more active, more often.”
Figures released earlier this year show the UK fitness industry is now worth close to £5 billion.
