The third annual National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF) Top 100 Influencers Index has been revealed.
The influencers were invited to celebrate at an event held at St James’s Church in Paddington, London on November 20, where the top 20 were revealed live.
The party, sponsored by City and Guilds, Schwarzkopf Professional UK, Vagaro and Lopay, was hosted by hair stylist Katie Walsh and drag star The Royal Serenity.
The Top 100 Influencers Index provides an opportunity to recognise industry professionals who use their social media platform to influence the sector and create change.
In July, people were invited to nominate the individuals who they thought were the most influential on social media, with engagement playing an important role in the positions.
Beauty professionals appeared throughout the top 100, with nail artist and PB favourite Kirsty Meakin taking the fifth spot.
Nail techs Michelle Humphrey, Charlotte Cliff and Harriet Westmoreland also secured spots in the top 20.
Meanwhile, massage therapist and Professional Beauty Awards finalist Hayley Snishko placed at number 67, and make-up artist and regular PB contributor Lan Nguyen-Grealis came in at number 32.

As it’s ranked with social stats and analytics, you never know which way it will go when the rankings are announced – I was just hoping for a place in the top five to be honest!
"This year I really focused on posting six days a week consistently across three platforms, sharing hair styling tutorials and tips for both professionals and consumers. Thank you NHBF for the number one spot, I can’t wait for the year ahead!”
Caroline Larissey, the newly elected chief executive of the NHBF added, "The NHBF Top 100 Influencer Index represents a celebration of innovation, talent and dedication within the hair and beauty sector.
