Professional Beauty's live chat with celebrity make-up artist Kristina Theodoris

Q. Hi Kristina, and thank you for chatting with PB, can you please introduce the look that you are going to talk us through?
A. Hi Professional Beauty! This defined eyeliner look can take you from day to night and suits everyone! I love creating beautiful, flawless skin which is made easy using the right products. It’s so important to know the right techniques and the correct tools will help us recreate the looks we love. Practice makes perfect and I hope these tips and tricks will help you!

Q. What's the first step for creating this beautiful look, Kristina?
A. Firstly, always prepare skin with a good moisturiser. If your skin is dehydrated, it will soak up the foundation.

Q. Good advice, then what comes next?
A. Next apply a small amount of Fluid Foundation and using the Kabuki Brush, buff into the skin with circular motions in one area at a time to create a flawless airbrushed finish.

Q. What are you applying on the 3rd picture?
A. Next I use the Duo Fibre Eyehadow Brush, apply a few dots of the Correct & Conceal Palette under the eye and blend in. As there are 3 shades in 1, you can custom blend the shades and use to cover any other blemishes on the face -in this picture I am blending with the Kabuki Brush.

Q. What's the following step?
A. I enhanced the brows with the Brow Define pencil in Bombshell, following the natural shape and filling in where sparse. I used the Eye Primer in Sand all over the eyelid, which helps control oil and keep shadow in place all day, controlling any creasing. This was followed with Eye&Brow Palette in Bombshell. Using the Eyeshadow Brush, I used the highlighter shade all over the eyelid, then a mix of the light & medium blonde shades using the Eye Blending Brush to define the socket. The Eye&Brow Palettes are my favourite as the colours are matte, which suites all ages and can create natural or smokey looks.

Q. What's the best way to apply eyeliner, for a great result as shown on your 5th picture?
A. Starting a couple of lashes in from the end, I used the Fine Angled Brush and the Duo Gel Liner. This precise brush creates a perfect line. With the point facing outwards, angle it at 45 degrees and sweep inwards along the lash line; draw halfway in, then flip your brush over and join up from the inner corner. This helps define a smooth line.

Q. How do you enhance the eye shape, for a perfect night look?
A. A thinner, natural eye liner can be accentuated into a stronger, graphic liner which can take you from a day to night look in minutes! To do this simply add another layer on top to enhance your eye shape.

Q. What else are you using to accentuate the eye?
A. Lashings of Volumising Mascara, and Faux Lashes if you wish. I have used lashes in ‘Foxy’ for this look.

Q. Looks great! And then what are you applying on pic 8?
A. Powder where needed with the Finishing Powder. Using the Contour Brush, I added the Bronzer in Light/Medium to contour the cheekbones and add warmth to the skin.

Q. What else are you using to complete this look?
A. I used the Powder Blush in Punch on the outer apples of the cheeks. Be careful not to add too much blusher and don’t apply it too close to the nose, as this can drag the face in. Then apply the Illuminator on the top of the cheekbones, down the nose and brow bone. This reflects light and gives a beautiful golden glow. Finally I applied Lip Gloss in Vintage, suits every skin tone and completes this look with a peachy, nude pout!

Q. The gloss in the last picture looks amazing, what lip gloss did you use?
A. The lip gloss used here is Vintage by Make Up by HD Brows, it finishes this look off perfectly!

Q. I totally agree, Thank you Kristina for sharing these tips, I can't wait to try this look!
A. Thank you for having me
