Six Senses launches Yogic Sleep programme

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has added Yogic Sleep to its new set of Yogic Programmes.

The programme, which has been developed to aid relaxation and help promote better sleep, includes pranayama breathing exercises, yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep, yoga sessions and spa treatments.

The programme is designed to address the psychological and neurological reasons behind sleep problems. Factors such as room temperature, music and the snacks guests on the programme are given have also been adjusted for optimal beneficial effect.

Anna Bjurstam, vice president of Six Senses Spas, said: "Having an established routine around sleep, daylight and vitamin D is crucial in order to stay healthy. At Six Senses, we have asked advice from some of the world's leading experts in sleep and nutrition and are delighted to share their advice during our yogic sleep programme."

Guests also receive a sleep journal and a guide with sleep-aid techniques to take home. The Yogic Sleep programme is available at a range of Six Senses resorts, including Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman, Six Senses Samui and Six Senses Yao Noi in Thailand and Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives.
