Three Horseshoes Inn & Country Hotel spa to open in March

A three-treatment room spa is set to open at the Three Horseshoes Inn & Country Hotel in Staffordshire in the UK. 

The 222sq m Mill Wheel Spa, scheduled to open in March 2015, is part of an extension to the hotel that will also include five new bedrooms, complete with direct garden access and private outdoors hot tubs. 

Hotel director Steve Kirk said: "We have been working on the project since February 2014 and work will be complete in March 2015. It will be a unique spa with lots of equipment and innovations."

Features at the spa will include a range of facilities created by Austrian spa equipment and experience provider Haslauer. 

These will include a Brechelbath, a wood-panelled steam room where twigs and fir cones create scents of the forest, and the Beach Hut, where clients lie on a bed of warm sand, while the experience of being on a beach is recreated – with the aid of essentials oils and relaxing music. 

The spa will also comprise a Haslauer Stonebath, where mineral stones are heated in an oven before being dipped in cold water, releasing minerals into the room. 

Other amenities at the spa, which is being built with the help of funding from the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Regional Growth Fund, will include a spa garden, an outdoor hydrotherapy pool, and a plunge pool.
