Amy Lloyd wins Louise Page make-up competition

Amy Lloyd, a student at North Herts College, has won the first Louise Page make-up competition held in association with Professional Beauty magazine, at Champneys Spa, Henlow Grange in Bedfordshire on March 11, 2012.

Lloyd battled it out against nine other finalists, all of whom had to create a look inspired by make-up artist Alex Box. Celebrity make-up artist Louise Page critiqued the work and provided mentoring during the judging process.

Page said of Lloyd: "She required little direction and her blending and contouring was beautiful. Her technical ability was very professional and the overall look was phenomenal."

Lloyd won a one-to-one masterclass with Page, as well as a paid-for photoshoot worth £1,500. The prize also included a £500 Art Deco make-up kit, free spa day for two at Champneys Henlow Grange and the opportunity for the final shoot to be featured in Professional Beauty magazine.

Runners-up included Marina Morecroft in second place and Hannah Harris and Gemma Copestick in joint third place. Professional Beauty magazine will soon be bringing you all the photos from the day and Lloyd's professional photoshoot, which is to be held in April.
