Armathwaite Hall appoints ex-Wheway MD Colin Farndon

Former Wheway Lifestyle managing director Colin Farndon has joined Professional Beauty Award-winning spa Armathwaite Hall as spa director.

Farndon replaces Jenni Paling, who has left Armathwaite Hall to take a break from the industry and spend more time with her family.

Farndon has 20 years' experience in the industry. Before managing spa consultancy Wheway Lifestyle, he worked as spa director of country house hotel spa Sequoia at The Grove, Hertfordshire, and general manager of the Retreat at Aphrodite Hills in Cyprus.

Farndon said: "I believe that The Spa at Armathwaite Hall is unparalleled in this region and I intend to build on the solid foundations laid by my predecessor Jenni Paling and the team to take the business and most importantly the guest experience forward in 2012."

Armathwaite Hall Country House and Spa is a privately owned hotel with a large spa located in 400 acres near Keswick in the Lake District. The spa was awarded Residential Spa of the Year - 10 treatment rooms or fewer in the Professional Beauty Awards 2011.
