Aromatherapy Associates launches first machine

Aromatherapy Associates is taking on a more medical stance with the launch of its first treatment machine and accompanying facials.

The aromatherapy-based skincare brand is now selling an electrical current machine called the Aroma Radiance and has designed three facials that use microcurrent and galvanic current in combination with its plant-derived products.

This is a major shift in focus for the naturals brand, which is the latest in a line of traditional spa product houses to have taken a more medical, results-focused approach in recent months, including the likes of Espa and Elemis.

Aromatherapy Associates' three machine-based treatments are the Ultimate Radiance Facial, which includes an enzyme peel, galvanic current to increase the power of the actives and an intensive treatment with microcurrent, to lift and tone the muscles in the face; the Aroma Clear Facial, which uses galvanic current to draw out impurities that cause skin congestion and iontophoresis current to boost deep healing, then a high frequency current with an anti-bacterial action; and the Aroma Lift Facial with microcurrent to lift.
