Bedford Lodge Hotel spa takes shape with appointment of manager
Bedford Lodge Hotel is forging ahead with its plans to launch a £3m spa and has appointed Anna Ramsay as spa manager.
The Spa is being built adjacent to the four-star Newmarket hotel, set in the Georgian estate of the 19th century Rockfield House and is due to open its doors this summer.
Spa manager Anna Ramsay has joined from product house Espa, where she was business manager.
Prior to that she worked as an assistant spa manager for Four Seasons group. She has also worked as treatments manager at One and Only Reethi Rah, in the Maldives.
Ramsay said: “The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel is going to bring something new and exciting to Newmarket and I am thrilled to be a part of it. We are working closely with Espa to provide our guests with only the very best products and treatments so that our guests can enjoy a unique experience tailored to their needs.
She is also working with Espa to develop signature treatments unique to Bedford Lodge, which will include advanced enzyme facials, Balinese massage with hot stones and detoxifying body cleanses.
The spa will also offer the option to buy packages by time rather than by treatment, with the treatments personalised on the day following discussion with therapists.
Other facilities at the spa will include a rasul, a hammam, a rooftop hot tub and hydrotherapy pool, and experience showers with a combination of music, lights and water.
Bedford Lodge Hotel chief executive Noel Byrne said: “We have big plans for our new spa…With Anna’s help, we will offer the very best in face and body treatments, each one designed and tailored specifically to the customer.”
