Best celeb Halloween make-up looks and the MUAs behind them

Thanks to limitless budgets, access to the world's best glam teams and full social calendars, celebs can afford to pull out all the stops when it comes to dressing up for Halloween... and 2022 did not disappoint.

Take a look at some of Professional Beauty's fave looks for spooky season and the talented MUAs behind them.

Lizzo - Miss Piggy

Singing sensation Lizzo wowed this Halloween with a sultry take on The Muppets’ Miss Piggy.

'A tribute to my forever icon, MISS PIGGY. The epitome of grace, style, confidence and a warrior for love,' wrote Lizzo in her Instagram caption. 'I love you.'

Lizzo posed nude with a snake wrapped around her body like an image of Miss Piggy that was shared back in the 1980s.

Make-up Artist Alexx Mayo is behind the pig snout prosthetics that made Lizzo’s Miss Piggy look possible. We are also loving Lizzo's bleached brows.

Eri Ishizu is the nail tech behind Lizzo’s long red talons and was also responsible for the singer's stand-out nails at this year’s Met Gala

Kylie Jenner - Bride of Frankenstein

Kylie Jenner had a number of incredible costumes for this Halloween but our favourite was her Bride of Frankenstein look.

The uplifted shape of the eyebrows were wonderfully wicked and pair perfectly with Jenner’s dark siren lips.

The make-up artist behind this look is brow wizard Ariel Tejada. We are also completely blown away by Kylie’s sinister hairstyle created by the great Mia Jackson, who also did the wig for our next favourite look.

Cardi B - Marge Simpson

Marge Simpson in Mugler almost broke the internet!

Cardi B’s take on the matriarch of everyone's fave yellow family is as saucy as you would expect.

Aside from the incredible coverage that MUA Erika La Pearl achieved for Marge’s skin - we are obsessed with the vampy blue eyes and red lips that gives this look its sexy edge.

Jackson strikes again with this hair look complete with blue baby hairs to add an urbanised edge.

Heidi Klum - a worm?

It wouldn't be a list of Halloween looks without the inclusion of Heidi Klum - the undefeated, unofficial Queen of Halloween.

This year the ex-supermodel’s look was a, erm, worm. Peculiar choice? Perhaps… but the artistry of prosthetics master Mike Marino’s head-to-toe look is undeniable.

Kali Uchis - Jessica Rabbit

Kali Uchis killed it as film’s sexiest cartoon - Jessica Rabbit. MUA Ivan Núñez achieved the purple ombre eyeshadow look that Miss Rabbit is famous for which was cemented by Uchis’ sexy side-eye to the camera.

The look was perfected by the deep red glossy lips.

Kim Kardashian - Mystique

In her latest bid to be a superhero, Kim Kardashian slayed this Halloween as X-Men’s Mystique. Kim’s outrageously accurate look was achieved by Make-up and Prosthetics firm Nocturnal Designs’ very own KC Mussman and team.

The make-up/prosthetics were a perfect continuation of Mystique’s suit created by Vex Latex.

The reality star’s slicked red hair was thanks to her long-term collaborator, Chris Appleton.

Winnie Harlow - Michael Jackson

You couldn’t accuse Winnie Harlow of slacking off this Halloween. The model dressed as both Imaan’s version of Queen Nefertiti and Michael Jackson from the late, great singer's Do You Remember the Time music video.

While Harlow looks stunning as the Egyptian Queen, the sculpting of her as Jackson makes the look so realistic. Both make-up looks were created by Adam Burrell.

The look also had personal significance to the model as she and Jackson both share the same skin condition.

"Michael is my Icon and the one person I wish I could’ve met," Harlow wrote in an Instagram post. "Growing up he was the only person I seen with Vitiligo and that made me feel seen."
