Britons target stomach to get in shape
The stomach is the key area that British people aged 25-34 target when trying to get in shape, according to a new survey. Research carried out by gym chain Fitness First found that 35% of UK men and women said their stomach is the area they would most like to work on.
This is compared to fewer than one in 10 (8%) targeting the buttocks as the key area of concern on their body.
The survey also found that people aged between 25 and 34 are more influenced by celebrities and supermodels than they are by family and friends when it comes to body shape. Some 70% said they take body inspiration from the catwalk or the red carpet. However the over 55 age group said that do not aspire to have a figure more like a model, celebrity, or their friends and family.
