Fake Bake launches skincare for direct selling

Tanning brand Fake Bake has expanded its mobile business concept with the launch of skincare, make-up and body products. The new business model for mobile, direct selling is now named Fake Bake Beauty at Home.

Craig Alexander Wilson, head of strategic development at Fake Bake Beauty at Home, said, “We launched Fake Bake at Home, but realised that the earnings from it were capped. You can only do 10 tans a day.” The beauty element was launched to create more revenue streams, he added, and to reflect the fun, playful yet luxury identity of the Fake Bake brand.

There are three product ranges available for Fake Bake Beauty at Home consultants, Skin D-Luxe skincare, Dolcé Dreams bath and body, and Scream & Pout make-up. The launch portfolio includes Lemon Meringue Body Whip and Coconut Macaroon Body Scrub in the Dolcé Dreams range, the Dream Skin Cleansing Melt balm and a peptide-rich targeted moisturiser for fine lines in the Skin D-Luxe range, and lipsticks, foundations and eye palettes in the make-up line.

Wilson said more products are set for the summer season.

All products will be available through the Fake Bake Beauty at Home consultant network, or direct to consumers online, but not through salons.
