TV presenter Holly Willoughby named Beauty Icon of the Year

This Morning and I’m a Celeb TV presenter Holly Willoughby has been crowned the UK’s Beauty Icon of the Year 2018.

The mother-of-three topped Superdrug’s annual poll with 25% of the vote, beating the likes of Duchesses Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. 

“Holly really is the celeb of the moment following what's been an incredible year for her,” said Simon Comins, Superdrug commercial director. “She's become a beauty star renowned for her effortless, natural look which our customers can clearly relate to.”

Actress Helen Mirren took home second place with 12% of the vote, while Kate Middleton and singer Adele placed third and fourth, reported the survey.

Talking about 2019 beauty trends in general, Comins added: “This year we've seen concealers outperform beauty staple foundations for the first time, indicating our customers are choosing a more understated look in comparison to the heavily contoured styles sported by the biggest reality stars on social media.”
