It’s time to get competition-ready 

Taking place at Professional Beauty North on 22-23 October, the North Nail and Warpaint Championships cater for both pros and budding techs.

Both competitions are ideal if you want to show off your specialism, stretch your skills and get industry recognition. 

This year’s North Nail Championships categories

• Pink & White Competition Style

• Salon Nails

• Mixed Media Nail Art

• Spa Manicure

• Permanent Polish

• One Stroke Boxed

• Photographic Classic: Great British Eras

• Photographic Nail Art: Great British Eras

• International Nail Art Masters: Heat

• International Nail Masters: Heat 

Student categories:

• Nail Starters Student Manicure

• Nail Starters Permanent Polish

Prizes up for grabs

First-place winners will be featured in Professional Beauty magazine, receive a trophy and be awarded an “experience with a judge” mentoring prize. Second-place winners will get a trophy, while third place wins a medal and all other competitors get a certificate. 

This year’s North Warpaint Make-up Championships categories

• Film & TV: The Tudors – make-up a character from the time of the Tudor monarchs in the period from 1485–1603

• Real Beauty: Winter Bride – create a flawless winter bridal look for real women 

• Runway: Studio 54 – design a disco look using inspiration from 1970s New York’s most famous club 

• Bodypainting: Pop Art – channel the 20th Century’s most colourful art trends 

• #Instawarpaint: Ancient Egypt – based on the theme of the sun and the moon

All categories are open for both students and MUAs!

Prizes up for grabs

Entrants who place first will be featured in Professional Beauty and Warpaint and presented with a trophy, while those who come in second will be given a glass trophy and those in third a medal. Everyone who enters will receive a certificate. 

The College Cup

Awarding the highest placing student team across all categories of the North Warpaint Make–Up Championships, colleges are awarded points for the students who place first, second or third. The college with the most points wins! The winning team will receive a goody bag, attendance certificates and a 'money can't buy experience'.

How to enter: 

 1. Ensure your students are registered for the show, have entered and made payment for the relevant championship categories (students pay just £10 per category)
