Cheshire’s Manor House Hotel opens English country garden-themed spa

The Manor House Hotel’s luxury spa in the Cheshire countryside will offer indoor and outdoor wellness experiences, with more coming later this year.

The first phase of the spa opening, at the independent, family-owned hotel in Alsager opened on April 14, and includes a 15m serenity swimming pool, glass ceiling and a hanging day bed.

Poolside, guests can also relax in the Finnish sauna and steam room.

Three treatment rooms have been built at The Manor House Hotel, and there is also a quiet relaxation lounge. British spa brands Tribe517 and Temple Spa have been selected by the hotel to provide a range of face and body treatments.

Outdoors in the new courtyard, a salt shed experience offers a Himalayan salt wall, lavender cauldron and ergonomic seating where guests can relax in 40ºC heat.

The second phase is currently under construction and is due to be completed by autumn 2022. This will be the spa’s signatureexperience – the English Spa Garden.

Embracing the English countryside, the spa will combine quintessential landscaping and country garden planting with modern wellness experiences.

This includes a panoramic sauna, steam room, spa pool and open-air vitality pool plus outdoor, heated sensory seating areas.

Mosaic Spa is supplying the two outdoor pools and BC Softwear, the robes, towels and flip flops. The spa manager is Hannah Swain who has been with the hotel since summer 2021.

An indoor spa dining area and relaxation spaces enable guests to enjoy a full or half day away with the option to extend their experience with an overnight spa break.

Jessica Mellors, general manager at Manor House Hotel, said: “The development of our beautiful new spa is part of our mission to become a leading leisure destination and bring an exciting new spa experience to the area.

“The new spa complements our successful hotel and AA Rosette restaurant offering and will enable us to offer guests a wider wellbeing experience.”
