PB London trend watch: mattes and brights

It won’t be long before clients are requesting make-up looks and nail colours as seen on the spring/summer catwalks. One of the season’s key looks is a smouldering, smoky eye but with a matte twist, with this year’s product launches focused on offering longer lasting looks.

Many of the leading brands at ExCeL this weekend will be exhibiting the trend, with Jane Iredale launching its new Naturally Matte Eyeshadow Kit featuring five dark and earthy tones, to Art Deco‘s creamy 3 in 1 Eye Primer that creates a matte finish for long-lasting eye make-up look – available in two shades, cool and warm.

Meanwhile, the hottest seasonal colours in nails are slightly more laid back than the usual summery shades, with Orly, Spa Ritual, Morgan Taylor and more showcasing dreamy pastels andcreamy, soft tones in their new SS16 collections. Essie’s subtle salmon pink Lounge Lover, Cuccio’s lavender shimmer Message in a Bottle and sugar sweet glitter Diamonds Are Forever! By All That Jazz will all be on stand at the show for visitors to see.

Make sure you're among the first to spot the biggest trends set to shape the salon and spa market in 2016 by registering online for the show in advance to avoid the fee on the door.
