Sheila Henry and Iconic Beauty among Guinot salons of the year
Sheila Henry in Harrogate was named Guinot Salon of Excellence at the skincare company's annual awards last week.
The awards, held at The Brewery in London on January 28 and hosted by presenter Gok Wan, celebrated the achievements of salons and therapists who work with the Guinot skincare brand.
The winners of the group's regional awards went up against one another to decide on the national winners.
The winners were:
Salon of Excellence: Sheila Henry, Harrogate
Special Commendation: Cloud Nine Beauty, Ferndown, and The House Beauty Spa, Liverpool
National Therapist of the Year: Louise Forrest Dent, Hana Beauty Clinic, Whitley Bay
Special Commendation Jade Knevett, La Touche Beauty, Lind eld, and Kelly Travers, 4beauty, Aylesbury
New Salon of the Year: Iconic Beauty, Foxrock
National Business Growth: A Touch of Class, Health and Beauty Clinic, Cheadle
The awards followed Guinot's national conference, which was opened by Chris Gillam, managing director of Guinot-Mary Cohr UK.
Gillam shared the growth results of the Guinot franchise system before marketing manager, Annelie Ryan discussed Guinot’s 2018 strategy.
Olivia Seymour, PR and digital media executive then gave insight into the power of social media before regional business development manager Fiona Rachel, discussed the new Guinot Therapist Incentive Scheme, designed to motivate therapists to retail.
Next up, training manager Alicia Haynes and celebrity make-up artist Carrie Jones showcased the new Master’s Colours professional make-up products.
In the afternoon, guests heard from three keynote speakers: Andrew McMillan, who had a pivotal role in the customer service ethis behind the John Lewis brand; Valerie Delforge, founder of consultancy Delforge & Co and commercial trainer and coach to salon owners; and Josephine Fairley, co-founder of the Green & Black’s, who spoke about business and branding.
