Six Senses to open its first UK hotel and spa in 2023
Six Senses Hotels Resorts will open its debut UK property Six Senses London in 2023, featuring a luxury spa which will be an integral part of its offering.
The property, which will open at the former Whiteleys department store in Bayswater, will comprise 110 guest rooms and suites, as well as a spa focused on holistic wellness, rejuvenation and beauty treatments.
As well as the interior design being “reminiscent of an old-fashioned London underground station”, the spa facilities will include a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, Alchemy Bar, relaxation room with vaulted ceilings and 3,500 metre space dedicated to fitness.
The client journey will be designed to “mirror the different energies of city life, from the sensory stimulation and movement of the street, to the stillness and calm of a quiet café or park,” Six Senses have said in a statement about the property.
Six Senses London members will also have access to an exclusive social and wellness club.
This space will include a private bar and lounge, co-working spaces, a restaurant and wellness rooms, which will offer programmes to encourage “growth, reflection and reconnection”.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to pay homage to [Whiteleys] heritage and bring our brand values to life in this part of town, while celebrating our first port of call for Six Senses in the UK,” said Neil Jacobs, Six Senses Hotels Resorts chief executive.
The hotel will also have 14 branded residences which will be available to buy.
This is the first UK property for the renowned spa hotel group, which is based in Thailand. However, Six Senses does have three other European properties, in France, Portugal and Turkey.
