Tried and tested: Moroccanoil ritual
This indulgent 90-minute body and hair treatment incorporates the Moroccanoil body skincare products that launched in the UK earlier this year. The treatment begins with dry brushing, to prepare skin for exfoliation.
Jade, my therapist at London’s Spa Illuminata, then rubs the exfoliating Body Buff scrub, which contains orange peel, avocado, vitamin E and grape seed, safflower and sweet almond oils, into my skin. I then shower to remove the scrub.
The next step is a light and relaxing full body massage – using the argan oil and shea butter-infused Body Soufflé and the Intense Hydrating Treatment with argan oil, lavender and honey. The moisturising treatment can be used as part of clients’ homecare routine, but can also be heated and applied as a soothing massage oil. The nourishing formula makes it suited to areas where the skin is dry. The massage also includes a thorough foot rub, which significantly contributes to the risk of falling asleep.
The treatment concludes with a scalp massage, which would typically involve applying Moroccanoil’s hero product, the Intense Hydrating Mask, to the hair. However, as I need to go back to the office after the appointment, Jade instead uses the leave-in Moroccanoil Treatment for hair. The treatment end result is smoother and softer skin, a de-stressed mind and glossier hair.
