World Spa & Wellness Awards 2018 open for entries

Entries for the 2018 World Spa & Wellness Awards are now open.

The awards, open to spas and wellness resorts around the world, are among the most prestigious of global industry honours.

Making the shortlist for or winning one of the World Spa & Wellness Awards marks a property as one of the top international businesses in its field.

The awards honour spas and wellness resorts in 11 international categories, naming Hotel Spa of the Year and Resort Spa of the Year across five regions: Western Europe & Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, North & South America, Middle East & Africa and Asia & Australasia.

There is also a global category, Worldwide Health & Wellness Destination of the Year – open to wellbeing properties all over the world.

The awards are free to enter, with applications submitted online. All entrants are assessed by a worldwide panel of highly experienced industry judges after the deadline on Thursday, June 8, with the shortlist announced mid-August. The finalists are then visited by an official judge, as part of the in-depth judging process.

The many elements judges take into account range from customer service, treatment quality and on-going training and education, to retailing, customer journey and marketing initiatives.

Among past winners are Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa in Thailand, One & Only Spa at One & Only Palmilla in Mexico, and 36.5° Wellbeing & Thermal Spa at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in Switzerland.

The winners of the 2018 World Spa & Wellness Awards will be announced in a glamorous evening ceremony at the Tobacco Dock events venue on Sunday, February 25.
