Mövenpick Hotel & State Guest House to open in China's Inner Mongolia region

The Mövenpick hotel group is set to open its first property in China’s Inner Mongolia region, the Mövenpick Hotel & State Guest House, in the first quarter of 2015. The hotel will contain a 4,000sq metre spa and wellness section, spanning two floors and comprising a 2,500sq m leisure club and a 1,500sq m spa.

Among the spa facilities will be a tea lounge, an express treatment area, a beauty salon for women, a barber area for men with a VIP treatment room, and separate thermal areas for men and women. The spa will feature seven single and double treatment rooms and there will also be two spa suites at the hotel. Treatments and services on the menu will range from foot and back, neck and shoulder massages to flotation therapy.

The leisure club area will comprise a swimming pool, an Aquatonic pool by the spa pool specialists of the same name, a garden, a gym and a games room. The spa and leisure club are being developed by Bangkok-based GOCO Hospitality, whose portfolio of projects include the spa at Vivanta by Taj in India, the spa at The Frankfurter Hof in Germany and a number of past and upcoming Sho spas for MGM Hotels & Resorts around the world.

By 2015, the Mövenpick will operate four hotels in China. The first, the Mövenpick Hotel Enshi, opened earlier this month with a further three – including the Mövenpick Hotel & State Guest House – to follow in the next two years.
