Destination spa opening at the Lake District's Lodore Falls Hotel in the summer

A luxury destination spa is opening at Lodore Falls Hotel in the Lake District this summer, with 18 spa bedrooms, a 70-seater restaurant, and champagne and deli bar.

The spa will feature state-of-the-art facilities including five treatment rooms, a four person rasul, and a thermal suite comprising a laconium, aroma steam room, herbal sauna, salt steam room, ice fountain, drench showers and heated relaxation loungers.

There will also be outside features including a 16-metre hydro pool with volcano fountain, neck jets, underwater loungers and an overflow hot tub feature with views of the Derwentwater and the Catbells mountain range; a glass-fronted Finnish sauna and cold drench bucket and hot shower.

Spa days will be on offer, including face and body treatments, mud rasul ritual, twilight spa evenings and thermal experiences, as well as overnight stays. The spa bedrooms will offer direct access to the spa via an internal lift, so you can make your way around in the comfort of your bathrobe.

The property is owned by Lake Distict Hotels, who operate seven hotels in England's Lake District.

In other news, a boutique spa is set to open at a Somerset holiday cottage development and the Lanserhof Group is planning to open a new UK spa project this year
