Regent Seven Seas launches new concept in wellness at sea

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has launched Serene Spa & Wellness, a new spa concept that will debut across its five-ship fleet this winter.

Serene Spa & Wellness was originally designed for the new Seven Seas Splendor vessel, but will now launch fleetwide, starting in December, ahead of Splendor’s maiden voyage in early 2020.

The concept will offer exclusive treatments integrating techniques and ingredients from the 450 destinations visited by the cruise line such as in the signature Around The World Massage featuring basalt from China, a Caribbean coconut poultice and bamboo from Asia.

Guests can select from a full service menu including massage and body treatments, Elemis facials and hand and foot care. The onboard concept also includes a Kérastase hair salon, fitness classes and personal training.

To complete the 360-degree wellness concept, Serene Spa & Wellness tours will also provide curated shore wellness excursions for guests. This may include a visit to a mineral-rich thermal spring in Rome, or tai chi on the beach in Palma de Mallorca. Healthy Serene Spa & Wellness Selections will also be available in many restaurants across the fleet.

The wellness concept will set a new benchmark in luxury spas at sea according to Jason Montague, president and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

“Regent is deeply inspired by the peace and serenity that can be found in every region of our globe, and we are bringing the beautiful traditions and tried-and-true techniques of the world’s cultures into the exclusive experiences of Serene Spa & Wellness through spa treatments, cuisine and captivating shore excursions," he said.

Seven Seas Splendour and Seven Seas Explorer will also offer a Serene Spa & Wellness Hydrothermal Suite with aromatherapy steam rooms, chill rooms, infrared saunas and experience showers.

The Serene Spa & Wellness concept will launch on Seven Seas Explorer on December 7, then across the other vessels before the final launch on Seven Seas Splendour on February 6, 2020.
