The Mere Golf Resort & Spa to expand health and fitness facilities

The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Cheshire in the UK has been given planning permission to expand its spa and wellness facilities.

The new space, known as The Cube, will span 525sq m an incorporate two new exercise studios, a spa café and changing facilities. The Cube, scheduled for completion by the end of the year, will be designed by Whitebox Architecture and interior design firm Mather & Co.

Mark Boler, chief executive and co-owner of the four-star The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, said: “Mather & Co. and Whitebox Architecture have helped us realise our vision to develop a facility that blends seamlessly into our existing spa. We are confident that the new studio will be a great asset to our already award winning spa and health facility.”

The new facility will complement The Mere’s existing spa and wellness offering, comprising a 20 metre swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool, a thermal area with a sauna, steam room, hammam, salt room and caldarium, and a gym.
