The 75th Cannes Film Festival brought together the biggest celebrity names from across the globe for the 11 day event, celebrating the best of the film industry, from blockbusters to indie releases.
With so many famous faces in one spot, it comes as no surprise that some major beauty moments came out to play, from glitzy Euphoria-inspired eye looks to classic old Hollywood glamour.
PB’s content writer, Ellen Cummings, and editorial assistant, Lollie Hancock, run through their favourite beauty moments from the festival.
Euphoria eyes
We already knew Euphoria-inspired embellished looks were set to trend, with diamanté details likely to take over the festival scene this summer.
With Cannes known for stars to be hitting the red carpet dripping in diamonds and other precious stones, these celebs showed how to wear gems as part of your make-up.

Liza Koshy’s MUA Sophia Sinot is no stranger to bold make-up looks, often using crystals and gemstones to create head-turning beats. For the Top Gun premier, the MUA took the gemstone details from the star’s Georges Hobeika gown to her eye make-up, creating a negative space winged liner effect with inner corner details standing out against the matte brown base. - Lollie Hancock

Andie MacDowell

It’s not just make-up becoming bejewelled, as searches for “pedicures with rhinestones” rising by 150% year-on-year
Get graphic
Giving MUAs a chance to play with shapes, symmetry and negative space, these celebs are proving that, like bold brows, dark, graphic liner is going nowhere.

Josephine Skriver

Danish model Josephine Skriver elevated her glowy, neutral make-up with a cut-out cat eye look. The negative space look on top of a minimal eyeshadow creates an elongated look, giving maximum effect with minimal work for an effortless look. - Lollie Hancock

Deepika Padukone

The festival’s opening ceremony saw actress Deepika Padukone grace the red carpet with a bold eye look which reflected the sharp black lines of her sari. Unlike Skriver, Padukone rejected the negative space look in favour of filling in the whole lid and extending the shape towards the brow. - Ellen Cummings
Pretty in pink
A universal go-to when it comes to make-up, pops of pink easily warm up a look.

Elsa Hosk

Supermodel Elsa Hosk gave major Marilyn Monroe Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend vibes with her bright pink dress. Letting the gown have its moment, Hosk’s glowy make-up featured subtle pops of pink on the cheeks, eyes and lips to pull together the look without taking away from the dress and jewellery. – Lollie Hancock

Elle Fanning
